[Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, July 1, 2024]– US Alliance Group, Inc. (USAG), parent company to Electronic Cash Systems (ECS), revolutionizing the payment processing industry, announced it has been honored by the Orange County Business Journal as one of 2024’s Best Places to Work in Orange County.

USAG ranks 6th out of 86 top midsize companies. These select groups of employers are recognized for their treatment, recruitment, and retention of employees. The awards program was created in 2009 and is a project of the Orange County Business Journal in partnership with Workforce Research Group. Together, they recognize companies that support Orange County’s economy, workforce, businesses, and communities.

To be considered, organizations must have a physical operation in Orange County,  15 or more employees working in Orange County, and have been in business for at least one year. Organizations across the county entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Orange County.

The first part evaluated each employer’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This process was worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation. The second part is based on an anonymous employee engagement and satisfaction survey about culture, training, pay and benefits, and more. This process was worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation.

“Because employees spend just as much or more of their time at work than at home, we choose to be a second family for our employees. This means we care not only for the financial well-being of each employee but we also care for their health, personal well-being, and overall happiness. I consider this award to be my biggest accomplishment. It is a true testimony that my employees feel how we’ve always intended–valued and cared for.” – Fadi Cheikha, CEO, USAG Inc.

USAG makes efforts to offer competitive employee benefits and culture, such as 100% employer-paid healthcare insurance for the employee and eligible dependents, contributions to an IRA plan, 48 hours of sick time, 48 hours of accrued PTO hours, 337.5 hours of holiday time off, an additional 56 hours of flexible paid time out of the office, and 24 hrs of “Extreme Time Off” to use for self-improvement days or volunteer opportunities. This assortment of paid time off totals a combined eight and a half weeks.

These benefits and office culture continue to promote employee well-being by encouraging employees to participate in physical fitness events such as company mobility challenges, which are supplemented with weekly bonuses, vacations, and access to the company’s fully loaded on-site gym for staff and their families.

Lastly, let’s not forget the open office environment, open door policy, catered luncheons, and company events put on by USAG’s very own Event Planning Committee, offering exciting ways to destress, such as beach club days, park games, cook-offs, baking competitions, treasure hunts, gardening activities, dress-up competitions, holiday parties, and beyond.
